This lesson we will be looking at open and closed questions to help you set up for your NON stall.

Closed questions:

Who….?

When….?

Where….?

What is….?

They are simple factual answers and, Yes and No answers.

3. Write your 10 closed questions and the answer from your Kahoot into a Word document for your NON stall.

Due: Tuesday 27th August

Open questions

Open Questions

We will be writing 20 open ended questions about your notable. Make sure this is written on the same document as your closed questions.

Open-ended questions start with:

Why …?

How …?

How is it that … ?

Can you explain …?

So for example one for Albert Einstein would be: Why did Einstein enjoy studying science?

Reading

Home reading

Today we will be beginning our new class reading schedule that will continue until the end of the year. You will choose a book, read for 15 minutes a night and each week complete one activity related to the reading (see attached document on SEQTA for activities).

2. Work on your Abstract (check today's SEQTA)

3. Answer your open ended questions

4. Work on your cover page for your folder

Make sure your plastic folder has:

  • Front cover
  • Abstract
  • Essay (submit on to SEQTA)
  • Questions (closed and open- need answers and submit on SEQTA)
  • Timeline of achievements
  • Bibliography

From home you need to bring:

  • Question box

  • Plastic folder

  • Anything else for your stall (props)
