Courage, hope, bravery. What will one friend do for another? Join us on an adventure through the Greek world through Rick Riordan's eyes. He is the creator of the demigod world. He has amazed us with his wondrous novel and hopefully today, you will be amazed by it too.
History of Gods:
History of Gods:
Before humans or any god, the titans and cyclopes were born. There were three immortal gods. There names were Gaea, Ouranous, and Tartarus. Gaea was the mother Earth, Ouranous was the sky, and Tartarus was the underworld. Gaea and Ouronus gave birth to the titans and other creatures. Ouronus trapped some of their children in Tarturas. So Gaea got depressed and told the youngest titan Kronos to slay his father. When Ouronus came down and was with Gaea, Kronos cut his father and threw away his remains. From his remains a foam came and that was the birth of Aphrodite. Kronos had 3 sons Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. The three were known as gods. The gods were eaten by Kronos but Rhea, Kronos's wife hid Zeus away from his father. When Zeus was old enough, he had tricked his father into puking out the other children. After that the big three: Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon cut up Kronos' remains and through them away into the depths of Tartarus. After the war, Zeus became the King of the Gods. The three brothers challenged each other for who would get the sky, sea and the underworld. Zeus won and got the sky, Poseidon got the sea and Hades got the underworld. Their sisters: Hera, Demeter and Hestia were left to find their own path.
The Oath of the Big Three:
The series Percy Jackson and the Olympians talks about the gods kids. The big three gods had swore to an oath that they wouldn't have kids. But Zeus had broken the oath and had a child, he had a daughter whose name was Thalia. Thalia had run away from home with two friends who were Luke (child of Hermes) and Annabeth (child of Athena). On the way they met a satyr (Grover) who was there to protect them thought the whole way. But before they reached camp all of them met a cyclops, who was about to kill them. Thalia stepped in and saved her friends, her father, Zeus wanted Thalia's life to be worth something so he made her a tree. This tree was made at the border of Camp Half Blood so that the camp would always be protected. But Zeus wasn't the only one who had broke the oath, Poseidon had a kid who's name was Percy. We will talk more about Percy later. The last god, Hades was always in the underworld so no one thought he had children.

Characters:
One of the great things about Rick Riordan is the amount of depth and personality he puts into his characters. There are nine main characters in The Titan's Curse. We will look into each individual and how they resemble to each of our themes, alongside their unique charastics.
Zoe
Zoe has courage and bravery because she she fought Atlas knowing that she would die . Zoë is described by to be tall, graceful, and gorgeously beautiful: dark brown eyes. She has a slightly upturned nose, copper-colored skin, and the silver circlet braided into the top of her long dark hair.

Annabeth has a lot of courage. She jumped on Dr.Thorn's back and stabbed him with a dagger. Even though she got kidnapped, whatever she did was for her friends. Annabeth has long clearly blond hair she has stormy gray eyes. Annabeth's best friedns are Luke, Thalia and Percy. Eventhought Luke had betryaed Annabeth, she still cared for him.

Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a seventeen-year-old Greek demigod, the son of Poseidon and Sally Jackson. He is the head counselor of Poseidon's Cabin, and the one and only son of Poseidon. Percy has been told that there was a prophecy told that one of the kids of the three elder gods would make a choice. This choice can either destroy the gods or save the gods.

Artemis is the goddess of wild animals, hunt and childbirth. She is the daughter of Zues and is a maiden that has Hunters that follow her. Her mother is the Titan Leto and she has a twin brother who's name is Apollo. Artemis believes that girls do not need to depend on boys in order to achieve something. Artemis's lieutant was Zoe, and she used to travel around the world recruiting girls that didn't want to go to Camp Half-Blood. Not only that but Artemis also used to recurit mortal girls that could see though the mist.

Thalia
Thalia is the only daughter of Zeus. Eight years earlier Thalia died on the boarders of Camp Half-Blood and was turned into a tree by her father, Zeus. Eight years later, her tree was poisoned but after a quest from Annabeth she was saved and brought back to life. Thalia wore ripped-up army jacket, black leather oants and chain jewlery. She had dark stromy blue eyes.

Nico
Nico first appears with his sister Bianca, in a military school called Westover Hall. Nico Di Angelo is a 10 year old boy who is the son of hades. Nico is a very geeky nerdy boy who is in love with mythomagic action figures, which is in a way ironic because he has magic blood in him. I think out of all of the characters nico holds the most hope in his heart. When his sister bianca abandons him to join the hunters of artemis he is still bent on keeping her safe. In camp half blood, Percy finds Nico eavesdropping on Bianca and Zoë Nightshade, and Nico successfully convinces Percy to promise to keep his sister safe on the quest. At the end of the book nico figures out percy broke his promise and he finally becomes a real son of hades. Because of his loss, Nico has changed forever.

Bianca wore a floppy green cap, and had dark silky hair wiht olive skin. She uses her hands a lot when she wanted to talk. This character has a lot of courage becuase when they were in Hepaustuaus's land she decided to sacrifice herself so that the quest would be complete. Not only that but Bianca is a very dedicated Hunter, becuase she was willing to go on a quest where she had a chance of dieing. But she was also a very caring person becuase she cared for her brother a lot. She was willing to grab a small figurine for him, eventhough she knew it was forbidden.

Is the General of Kronos's army. During the first titan war Atlas was imprisoned and tortured for all eternity by holding up the sky.

We beleive that there are four themes that go around this book. Hope, Courage, Bravery and Friendship. Hope is important becuase Ananbeth and Artmeis have to believe that their is hope, knowing that their friends will come and save them. Courage becuase the five that go on the quest do not know if they will die, but they still go on the quest. Bravery becuase Bianca goes on a quest for the first time not knowing if she would die. Friendship is one of the most important ones becuase everyone from Camp Half-Blod to the demigods that go on the quest all believe in it. This friendship is what strives them forward. They all know that their friendship is so strong it will lead them through out the quest.

Narration
One of the great things that makes the Percy Jackson series stand out above all others is the sense of humor casted through the book. First of all the narration is written in first point perspective,so through Percy's voice. When authors use this pespective while writing, it adds more depth to the storyline and how its being told. Percy is also a very funny person,so the voice of his narration is humor. As he narrates he adds little funny comments throughout the book.
Problem
The main problem in the book is Annabeth is missing and her friends need to find her. However, being a demigod this cannot be the only problem. A new prophecy has been released. one that will allow them to save Annabeth but not without sacrife. To save Annabeth they must suffer the Titan's curse.

The book is good but you need to read the other books to under The Titan's Cures. Other than that the book is really good if I were to rate this book it would be: 5 I think it is 5 because the book has adventorous things in it.

I would rate this book a four out of five for many reasons. First off my favourite god is mentioned a lot in this book, and she is Artemis. But the main reason I really like this book is becuase the plot consists of many unexpected things and many things are brought as a surprise. For example, Bianca and Nico are capable of many things but you wouldn't suspect it at all. Not only that but you would have interpreted of the prophecy in a different way. But one of the reasons I didn't give it a five is becuase my favourite character Bianca dies so quickly.

In my opinion the book is a 3 out of 5 rating. I love the book. However, this book isn't the only one in this equation. compared to all of the other books in the series I can't say this one is the best. Even if i were to mark this book on its own, I couldn't give it hire than a 3. One of my favorite characters is barely in this book. And whenever there is a death in a book it lowers my liking for it.

The Titan's Curse is a book that has many lessons in it, and it teaches a lot of things. These lesson revolve around our theme. This book teaches us that friendship is a very important thing. It is not somehting we can just let go and not care about. Another very important thing we can learn from this book is that loyalty matters a lot. In this book there are many scenarios where loyalty is shown. For example, the loyalty that the Hunters have had with Artemis is very fascinating. There is never one time and place they won't obey and respect Artmeis. Especially Zoe, she woudl never disobey Artemis even if she isn't there.

Timeline:
- Percy, Thalia and Annabeth go to Westover Hall becuase Grover said he found two new half-bloods.
- They entered the school and met Vice Principal Thorn, who didn't like them at all.
- Gover met them and took them to the gym where the dance was placed.
- Grover showed them Bianca and Nico Di Angelo, the two new half-bloods.
- Thorn took Bianca and Nico, Percy went looking for them
- Percy got captured and Thalia, Grover and Annabeth followed him.
- The Hunters showed up, and saved them but Ananebth jumped on Thorn's back and the two of them vanished.
- Percy met Artemis, and Bianca decided to join the Hunt.
- Artemis introduced all of them to Apollo.
Timeline:
- They went to Camp Half-Blood, with Apollo.
- Thalia drove the Sun Chariot.
- They play Capturethe Flag, and then the Oracle came and told the propehcy.
- They decide who goes on the quest, but Percy doesn't go.
- Nico sneaks up on the Hunters wishing to follow them.
- But Percy tells him Nico he can't follow them, and then he asks Percy if he would go on the quest for him.
- Mr.D catches Percy and tells him a story about a princess.
- Percy followes them and sees Thorn, Luke and the General.
Timeline:
- Percy runs into Thalia, and they fight a lion.
- They win and once they are done Zoe, tells Percy to stay becuase he is now apart of this quest.
- Afterwards, they continue to move forward, but Percy leaves them for sometime becuase Aphrodite and him had a little chat about the real reason he is on the quest.
- After his talk Aphrodite, all of them go through the junkyard of Hephaustas and Bianca dies.
- The other four go thorugh a very tragic time for a while.
- They decide to go on a train, and in that train Percy meets Apollo, who tells him the next part of their quest.
- Percy goes and meets Norus, who tells them the Bane of Olympus and tells them where to go next.
Timeline:
- Grover and Bessie split up and go back to Camp Half-Blood.
- Zoe, Thalia and Percy go the Garden of Zoe's sisters.
- When they went there, Zoe met her sisters and she got bit by Ladon.
- After the fight with Ladon, all of them headed towads Mount Othryus.
- Percy finally found out why Zoe hated Atlas, because he was her father.
- Percy and Zoe fought Atlas while Thalia fought Luke.
- When Percy knew he couldn't defeat Atlas, he went and held the sky from Artemis so that she could go and fight Atlas.
- Artemis defeated Atlas but along the fight, Zoe died and Luke was thrown of a cliff. All of them told Zoe she was a great Hunter before she died
- Annabeth was saved and from there, they headed to Olympus.
- The gods decided not to kill Percy and Bessie and Thalia decided to join the Hunt.
