Course Description

Public Speaking

& Persuasion

This course explores the theories and practices of speech communication behavior to promote communication competence in interpersonal, small group, and public speaking situations. It is designed to help students develop their public speaking skills central to success in academic, civic, business, and professional life, and in other various situations. Students who complete this course will have performed demonstrative, informative, and persuasive speeches which exhibit competence in literacy, critical thinking, and extemporaneous delivery.
