Cloud Computing Timeline
1950s
Early forms of cloud computing start with mainframe computing.
This was used so multiple users could acess a mainframe, usally from one computer at a time.

20 years later, a System Virtual Machine was invented as a form of cloud computing. This allowed users to run more than one operating systems/ applications at once on a computer.

The vpn was introduced as a way to provide a more secure connection when using a public connection.

It was at this time that the first SaaS or Software as a Service company was made. SaaS cloud computing allowed people to be secured on application, networks, operating systems, etc.

It was at this time that major companies such as Amazon and google would start using cloud computing for better servie for users.

Today, People use services that use cloud computing without them even knowing. Cloud computing can help thiing like data loss prevention, advanced security, scalibility and flexibility,
cost reduction and more.

Cloud computing is a combination of advances and improvement. Some improvment being better security, better pricing for services, etc. One major advancement in cloud computing are serverless computing, where there are no actual physical servers but insteas responde to codes when inputs are given.
