A professor and mathmetician, best known for her work in mathematical oncology. Jackson's work explores different approaches experiements that focus on cancerous tumor growth and treatment.

  • Born on July 24th, 1972
  • Moved many times throughout her childhood, but remained in Arizona throughout highschool and college
  • Spent her summers at an honors math and science program that was hosted by Arizona State University
  • Early interests were in mathematics but she wasn't looking at it as a profession

  • 1994 B.S. in Mathematics at Arizona State University, initially to study aerospace engineering.
  • Focus switched to mathematical biology for M.S. (1996) and Ph.D. (1998) from the University of Washington
  • Worked as an assistant professor in the mathematics department at University of Michigan. She was promoted to associate professor in 2003.
  • In 2006, Jackson was appointed as the co-principal investigator of the National Science Foundation (NSF)
