My life story

Ryan's life map

On February 12, 2005, Ryan Meyer was born into this world at the General Hospital.

My birth

First person- Parents

My parents are a huge part of my life. They've taught taught me how to do everything that I've ever needed. If I ever need them I know I can always count on them. They've made continuous sacrifices for me and I'm very grateful for that.

Station 1

Place 1- Disney World

Station 2

One day I came home from school and they told my brother and I that we were going to Florida but that my friends family was coming with us as well. My friend and I were fighting at the time and I'm thankful we went to Florida because it brought us closer together and we had a great time.

Event 1- Winning Provincials

In my first year of Peewee hockey I had a coach I never knew, and I wasn't sure how the season was going to go. Little did I know, it was one of my best seasons. Our team was very close and hung out all the time. Even on the ice we played very well together and finished the season in first place. We won out of Regina to play Saskatoon in the provincial final. We won the entire series, it was one of my favorite hockey seasons and it still is. I still talk to a lot of the kids as well.

Station 3

Person 2-Friends

All of my friends have played a huge impact on my life. They are always there for me when I need them and they help me get through my highs and lows. Whenever I'm with them, I always have a good time and they always make me laugh.

Station 4

Place 2-Hockey Rink

Going to the hockey rink almost everyday has become almost a second home for me. Whether it's the outdoor rink with friends, hockey practice, hockey game, or just going to the rink to watch hockey. If I'm not at home I'm at the rink. In the summer I always look forward to the following season and I train hard for it.

Station 5

Event 2-Grade 8 Grad

Graduating Grade 8 was very important. I spent the last nine years of my life with them and I got to graduate with my friends. It was a very special celebration and I was happy in every moment. It was my last time seeing some of those kids as well.

Station 6

Person 3-My uncle

Station 7

My uncle is a huge part in my life. He comes to almost every one of my hockey games. He always makes me laugh and every time I go over to his house, he has something for me to take home. In the summer we always go to the park and play baseball. He loves sports and he introduced me to most of them. He's taught and done so much for me and I can't thank him enough.

Place 3-St.Angela

Station 8

St.Angela will always be a place I remember. I spent 9 years of my life, going there everyday. My first friends were made there and there is so many memories that I've made over the years. The teachers at the school were phenomenal and they taught me so much. The teachers always wanted me to do my best and they pushed me everyday. They got me to the point I'm at today and I can't thank them enough for it.

Coming to Riffel

Station 9

Coming to Riffel was a huge decision for me to make. I went to a french school for nine years and it was my decision if I wanted to stay in french, with all of my friends; or come to Riffel. I chose Riffel in the end and I don't regret that decision at all. I do miss my friends but I still see my close ones. I've also made tons of new friends and I can't wait to see what these next few years at Riffel bring.

What does journeying in faith mean? What does community mean?

Station 10

To me journeying in faith is believing in God. I think you need to make God a part of your life and let him be a part of your journey. It could mean going to church every Sunday or just saying a prayer every night.

Community is many different things. You are also apart of many communities. There is the community you live, which is the one most people think of. There are lots of other communities, there is your school community, any sports you play, or an club your in. A community is people who are joined together doing they same thing. and they care about each other and they should always have your back. The most important community is your church community.
