Captain America first appeared in Timely Comics' Captain America Comics #1 in the months before World War II. He represent America with the colours, stripes and stars. The main target audience was young adults and older. It represented the war aswell as one of the antagonists were based off of a Nazi soldier.

The Yellow Kid was based off of an Irish immagrant in New York, immigrants were heavily looked down upon during these times and this comic was made to amuse the new yorkers and mock immigrants

The clothing that the yellow kid wears and his bald head represents the poor life he lives. The writing on his clothing represents that he is uneducated and cannot speak english well. The baled head is to represent when immigrants would shave their head to get rid of lice.
