The disease

-This disease lasts about 2 - 6 weeks.

- This disease came from southern africa.

-The chytrid fungus only attacks the part of a frogs skin that has keratin in it.(hands and feet)

This disease is not known to affect human beings.

- Abnormal posture

The disease is caused by the chytrid fungus (batrachochochytrium dendrobatidis)

this dangerous fungus is capable of causing unpredictable deaths in some amphibian populations worldwide.

Chytridiomycosis has affected over 700 species and made over 90 species go extinct on all continents where amphibians are.

It was first discovered in dead and dying frogs located in Queensland 1993

(There has not been a mass infection from what I believe.)

For chytridiomycosis

The cure to chytridiomycosis is to increase the enclosure or water temperature to around 30 - 37 degrees celsius for over 16 hours to cure frogs and toads who suffer from chytridiomycosis
