factors that affect cpu performance

Clock speed

clock speed

the speed at which a processor operates is called the clock speed. it is measured in gigahertz(GHz)

By increasing the clock speed we can increase the number of instructions executed per second

the faster the clock speed, the more instructions the cpu can execute per second so the quicker darcy can send his girlfriend take me back messages

TIMELINE

cache size

cache size

cache memory provides high speed access to the most frequently used instructions and data items

by increasing the size of the cache memory we can also increase the number of instructions or data being held in fast access memory.

increasing the speed of access to a greater number of frequently accessed instructions can help to increase he speed of operation n the processor

Processor Type

Processor Type

Two types of processors are: RISC and CISC processors. RISC has fewer instructions than CISC. RISC has a lot less instructions than CISC. CISC is more complex than RISC, so RISC is better at executing simpler tasks.

CISC CPU's are larger than RISC

RISC's run at a lower clock speed than CISC. if too much speed processor will break just like how darcys heart did after his breakup recently:(
