Water balance feedback loop
The stimulus in this situation is having too much water in your body cause of thirst. It sends signals to your brain.
The hypothalumus (located in your brain) is the receptor in the water balance process. Detects the water in your body and uses pituary to send out ADH (anti- diaretic hormone)to solve the problem. osmoreceptors is also part of it.
ADH the effector, is released from the pituary, and it goes to your kidney. ADH simply tells your body to not urine. It is the effector because they are signals sent from the brain to solve the problem in your body.
Your kidney does not reabsorb much water due to little ADH sent. Your urine is extra water your body does not need. This results in homeostatis, as your body is balanced in water
Your body needs some more water! You are feeling dehydrated and are needing some water to fix that. Your brain recognizes it and your hypothalumus, the receptor, goes to work.
Because of your shortage of water, two effectors are sent from your brain. The first one is simply your hypothalamus releasing a feeling of thirst. This makes you want more water. The second one is your posterior releasing more ADH to your kidney. This tells your body not to urine out what you
Your kidney reabsorbs more water as a result of more ADH being sent. You also drink more water as a result of your hypothalamus's signal sent to you and your nephron. You get homeostasis by balancing out the water in your body.
