Who is George Washington

George Washington

George Washington was the commander in chief of the Continental Army which was during the Revolutionary War. He was also one of our founding fathers.

What did George Washington accomplish

George Washington was a big help to us and also the people before us he was one of our founding fathers.The first president of the United states of America and he helped establish a lot of the forms of government we use today his strategy helped us when the Revolutionary War.

Congress created the Continental Army on June 14, 1775, and John Adams nominated George Washington to serve as the army's Commander-in- Chief. From then he served in the Revolutionary War with many different battles.

One of Washington's biggest issues was a lot of his army started to get sick and got chicken pox which took a lot of people out which meant his army numbers were getting lower and lower which he soon found a solution.

George Washington had no experience in such an army but he made it work. Although he lost more battles then he won his mind and his noble demeanor is what got him through the lost battles and is also which caused him to think things through so he could win the war.

William Howe was the commander in chief of the British army at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Major General William Howe leading the British forces, could have easily surrounded the Americans with his ships at sea but instead chose to march his troops uphill. While George Washington is leading American army.

The advantages that British were they had trained army a lot more materials and while the Americans had very little to no materials and untrained soldiers
