The $5 note

$5 note

Elizabeth II was on every $5 note from July 7th 1992 till now, apart from some special ones made in 2001 for the federation. The polymer $5 note has always been pink. The old paper one was also pink and a little bit yellow but didnt have Elizabth II on it. It had Sir Joseph Banks and Caroline Chisholm on it because Queen Elizabth II was on the $1 note at that time which was yellow. She was on the note because she was the Queen of the commonwealth so is on all of our coins too and some in other countries of the commonwealth like in New Zealand or Canada.
