i-Ready math is new this year!

We are excited to have the kids share their

thinking in table discussions as well as groups!

Integrated literature

We integrate the subjects of science, social studies, WRiting, and REading.

For example in Unit 1 of I Lit we are working on community building and weather. We will look at how the communities are impacted by weather.

Grades can be accessed through your Canvas Parent Account for most up to date grades.

At the end of each quarter, your student's report cards will be in Parent Vue.

Standards based grading will be used throughout Third Grade.

Daily Assignments or topics will be posted in the calendar links

Assessments will also be available

Grades will be updated every two weeks at least

Announcements / newsletters will be uploaded every two weeks

Additional Materials will be posted as needed

Continuing Practice At Home

How can students keep practicing at home?

We encourage students to read nightly. A reading log will be sent home weekly to support this.

Math games are a great way to practice math skills throughout the year as well.

Parent Vue has updated and Field Trip fees have been added. Please pay these fees by October 1 so we can attend our first field trip.

Valentine's Party February 14th

Sign ups are in the classrooms

If you are volunteering to help run the party please only sign up for one. If we need more we will contact you!

Students have one recess this year! It is a new thing for them.

Our time is from 1:50-2:15

Students are allowed to play where ever and whatever they want this year!
