the septicemic plague is casued by a certaiin bacteria called Yersinia pestis wich enters the blood stream and causes the septicemic plague. “develop fever, chills, extreme weakness, abdominal pain, shock, and possibly bleeding into the skin and other organs. Skin and other tissues may turn black and die, especially on fingers, toes, and the nose.”

Long term effect on the infected

Some patients develop adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which can lead to confusion with other conditions such as hantavirus pulmonary syndrome and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
