What is a WAM?

WAMs

This is your average numerical score achieved in your diploma studies.

Calculate by looking at your final scores for all instances for subjects undertaken (passed and failed) and average them all

  • ie. Add all final subject scores together and divide by the number of all subject instances.
  • All subject instances contribute to your WAM except for:
  • Subjects attributed a WD grade
  • LTM1AIM
  • subjects otherwise indicated to you

"Pathway" vesicle

and your learning modes

How do

you

learn?

There may be 2 modes available to attend classes, both will be delivered to you live and in real-time

Come to campus and talk with us face to face

2. Streamed online classes

Speak with the campus class streamed online

(offered where practicable)

Pathway rockets

These show you alternate pathways to your preferred course

*** Alternate pathways do not *** provide any certainty of entry and are very competitive!

1. On campus classes

On campus classes

This is the preferred attendance mode; you will attend the Bundoora campus and participate in class activities face to face with your teacher and classmates.

This fosters your highest quality learning experience and we can give you instant feedback on class activities.

All core subjects may be planned to have classes on campus and simultaneously streamed online (ie. dual delivered) - please see in-class instructions for further details.

2. Streamed online classes

Streamed online classes

Please note, streamed online classes have been discontinued.

If you are not able to make a face to face session on campus, your class session may be streamed online in real time; you may still engage with your teacher and classmates without an impact on your learning.

All class assessments and class activities should be completed as if you were on campus. Streamed sessions are real time broadcasts of the on campus sessions.

No problem!

Where practicable,

Many classes may be planned to be recorded.

You may watch the class recording back in your own time, though please attend as many classes as you can:

Always think:

Do you want to be an astronaut or an astronomer?

Do you want to go and do the exciting thing or see someone else do it?

But what if I miss a session?
