Introduction

Around 71% of the earth's surface is covered by water; it is considered as the source of survival by all living organisms. Water pollution is one of the dangerous and widespread forms which is a major developing global problem. furthermore, water pollution has been considered as the leading cause of death.

Water pollution happens when a toxic, harmful substance releases into the lakes, oceans, rivers, and groundwater which diminishes the quality of water and put living organisms lives in danger.

*Sewage: sewage that contains harmful bacteria is flushed straight into streams and rivers.

*Accidental oil leakage: huge amount of oil caused by ships enters into the ocean and does not dissolve with water.

*Industrial effluents: the used waste water and industrial waste material is discharged into rivers and ocean.

*Erosion in water caused by rainfall and runoff on a slope.

*High amount of toxic components in the soil.
