Steps of the Procedure

Primary Impression

Complete the Clinical Prosthodontics Case Template

In the Lab:

- Cast Pouring.

- wax build up on the cast.

- Using soft putty on the wax build up for making the temporary crown .

1. Ensure that the soft tissue is not inflammed. You will not get an accurate impression if there is bleeding.

2. Begin by packing the cord interproximally. Apply smooth firm strokes to ensure the cord is in the sulcus .

3. Place the second large cord in the sulcus in the same manner as the first.

4. The cord must remain in the sulcus to retract tissue, and dry the area with cotton roll.

5. Use the soft putty in the tray and apply the light bodied material with the tip of the syringe around the entire tooth and inside the canal.

6. Inseart the tray with the soft puuty above the light bodied, and wait (5 to 7 min) until the light body set.

7. Remove the tray Carefully and the impresion should be inspected thoroughly to ensure there is no bubbles and everything is clear!

Taking x ray and cutting the Gp by gates glidden size 3 , leaving only 5 mm of Gp from the apical area.

Make sure that the canal is clean and there is no remaining Gp in the coronal part.

Bone sounding

What Is Bone Sounding

Biological Width

Dimension of space that the healthy gingival tissues occupy between the base of the sulcus and the underlying alveolar bone is comprised of the junctional epithelial attachment and the connective tissue attachment. The combined attachment width is now identified as the Biologic width.

Bone sounding

The biologic width can be identified by probing under local anesthesia to the bone level (referred to as “sounding to bone”) and subtracting the sulcus depth from the resulting measurement. If this distance is less than 2 mm at one or more locations, a diagnosis of biologic width violation can be confirmed. This measurement must be performed on teeth with healthy gingival tissues and should be repeated on more than one tooth to ensure accurate assessment, and reduce individual and site variations.

Insertion & cementation of the post.

Adjustment and placment of the temporary crown.

In the Lab,

tooth preparation done on the primary cast .

showing the finish line and removing all undercut.

Tryin

During Tryin the crown was loose and there was no retention

11/11/2018

To solve this problem we reduce from the inner part of the crown trying to create aconstriction manner that will provide the retention, and it is worked!

28/10/2018

Finally we reached to the last stage on the procedure " Cementation of the Final crown " .

* Before the cementation we check the occlusion using the articulating paper and trying to reduce from the crown ( from the high point) and keep checking the occlusion to make sure that there is no more high point on occlusion.

* Then we send the crown a gain to the lab for glazing .

* Finally cement the crown with permanent cementation and remove the excess.
