The battle of Lexington & concord was fought on April 19, 1775 it was the first military engagements in US history which started the American Revolutionary war (1775-83) and on the night of April 18th 1775, British troops came from Boston, Close to concord in order to seize an arms cache.
Starting in 1764, Great Britain did a made for raising revenue from its 13 colonies. Many of those measures, including the Sugar Act, Stamp Act and Townshend Acts, generated fierce resentment among the colonists, who protested against “taxation without representation". All of these things were all contributions to what started the conflict on the revolutionary war.
The war was fought long and hard, many of the soldiers on both sides of died and Colonists proved that day that they could fight and stand against one of the worlds most strongest armies of all time.
The americans/Colonists won the battles of Lexington and concord. Their success proved that if you have a strong caption success is already gained. The british retreated back to Boston later on.

George Washington accomplished a lot in his years alive, some of the following include, leading the american revolution, being the first president of America, leading the continential army and many more.
George washington was very important to the american revolution because of his out standing leadership, his not giving up deminor and him leading us to victory.
Just to name a few, French and Indian War, American Revolutionary War, Battle of Long Island, Battle of Trenton and many more. George Washington was an outstanding general and president in his time that many modern veterans would be glad to serve under, he led a whole revolution to victory against the british which at the time was one of the most powerful military armies in the world, way stronger than we were.
George Washington favored the side that opposed the british or better known as the Continental Army that fought against and ended up winning the revolutionary war.
