Nouns can be singular or plural!

P.S. What is a noun?

A: a word used to identify any of a class of people, places, or things, or to name a particular one of these.

When do we use singular?

To name ONE person, thing, place or idea.

How do we use singular?

Place A or AN in front of the noun.

But... when do we use A and when do we use An?

A or An?

A = used when the noun starts with a consonant.

An = used when the noun starts with a vowel.

How can we make it plural?

If you have a noun that follows the rules, just add "S" to the end of the noun.

ATTENTION!! If the singular noun ends with "s", "ss", "ch", "x" or "z"

add ES to the end

Singular nouns ending in "y"

OMG! It's Y!

In case of ending with "y" - If the letter before is a consonant - add "ies", if it's a vowel before, just add "s"!

We are already familiar with some of the irregular nouns such as ending with "y" and "o"! Now let's meet the others!

Ending in "fe" or "f".

Ending in "f", change the f to a v and add es;

"fe", change the f to a v and add an s.
