  • The NMS is a tiered competition.
  • Of the 1.6 million students that take the PSAT, 2/3 will be recognized.
  • Around 50,000 move on to be Semi-finalists.
  • Of those 50,000 around 7,500 will be Finalists. Finalists qualify for more scholarships!

What are you tested on?

  • The PSAT consists of 2 parts

  • The test takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Calculator 31 questions = 45 minutes

No Calculator 17 questions = 25 minutes

Your PSAT score will range from a 320 to 1520

Top PSAT Scores: 1210-1520

160 - 760 for Reading and Writing

All Juniors will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 13th.

You will receive a practice test booklet. Use this test booklet to familiarize yourself with the test questions.
