Alien Abduction

by Jaime Herring

First Abduction

recorded

The Hills were an interracial couple. Barney, a 39 year-old black man, worked for the postal service, and Betty, a 41 year-old white woman, was a supervisor for the child welfare department. Because of Barney's ulcer problems, the two had embarked on a vacation into Canada. On September 19, they began their journey back home. At about 10:00 PM, Barney, who was driving, saw a star which seemed to move erratically. He told Betty about it, and they both kept tabs on it as they drove along

Fire in the sky

Where did the theory Originate?

Were they stalked before or after abduction?

The first alleged alien abduction claim to be widely publicized was the Betty and Barney Hill abduction in 1961. Reports of the abduction phenomenon have been made around the world, but are most common in English speaking countries, especially the United States. The contents of the abduction narrative often seem to vary with the home culture of the alleged abductee.

The men drove for a short time fearing that the strange craft would follow them. They finally calmed down and stopped the vehicle. The group of loggers in the truck then began discussing what should be done about the situation. They ultimately decided to go back and look for Walton. When they returned to the site both the UFO and Walton were missing. The men searched a half-hour before phoning the police. Deputy Sheriff Chuck Ellison responded to the call. The men told him what happened to Walton. The men were all distraught and some of them were crying. Ellison phoned his superior Sheriff Marlin Gillespie, who arrived at the scene and then heard the same story. Gillespie demanded that the group of them return to the scene and begin searching for Walton. By November 6, helicopters, volunteers, and police officers were searching the area looking for Travis Walton.

On Monday, November 10, all of Rogers’ crew took polygraph examinations. The crew were asked about the UFO and if they had harmed Walton or knew who did. The entire crew passed the polygraph test with the exception of one who refused to take the test. He would later admit that he refused the test because he was attempting to conceal a past criminal record. This led to Sheriff Gillespie to proclaim that the UFO story was in fact true.

To say that abductee's are stalked would be

incorrect. There has been some cases where the

individual felt that something was wrong or

something bad was going to happen. Many

abductees report seeing strange lights in the

sky before/after their abduction.

People that are abducted multiple times; is it always the same group or species of alien?

does age, background or intelligence play a part?

This is hard to answer, because for the most part descriptions given of the aliens are vague and sometimes there are small aliens and larger aliens at the same abduction. Are these the same beings or different species acting together in one experiment. Sometimes there are human-like beings described. Is this again another species? This is impossible to say. There is no case that I am aware of where anyone was abducted multiple times by different alien beings.

What is the annual percentage of abductions out of the U.S.?

2 percent (at least) of the American public have had possible abduction-like experiences, but how many of those are actual abductees has yet to be determined. We also know that thousand of people from around the world have contacted UFO and abduction researchers indicating that they might have had abduction events as well.

It seems that none of the above applies. There are abductees of every social class, economic status, and intelligence. If you think of some of the most well-known cases you will see postmen, school-teachers, swimming instructors, laborers, writers, etc. Alien abduction seems to cross all boundaries.
