What part in the Plot did King Duncan Play in "Macbeth"

He plays a big part in Macbeth's downward spiral by starting it by unknowingly making one of the witches prophecy's come true. He is also the good king while Macbeth is the bad king. King Duncan's true nature is to be a kind king to all that he rules over and rewarding to those who go the extra mile for him. Which Makes him a good king. Macbeth uses force to make things happen and kills many innocent people and scare tactics to suppress his people which makes him a bad person.

1. No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death, and with his former title greet Macbeth.(pg6)

King Duncan is showing both that he is kind to those who do good for him and merciless to those who act against him.

This shows that King Duncan is kind to all people who fight for his cause and rewards them.

King Duncan is show he is the king by saying it is a banquet to me which is showing his authority.

He is kindness showing by him being so thankful.

He is expressing his thankfulness unknowing that the people he thanks will kill him.
