Most Important:

  • Wrote a book named: Die zentralen Orte in Süddeutschland (The Central Places in Southern Germany), in 1933

Central Place Theory

  • In charge of changing the economic geography of Germany's conquests during WWll
  • The Walter Christaller Award for Applied Geography is named after him
