to Indians religion is very important which means that if you are not born into a pacific cast you are not allowed to become what you want to when you grow up. which cast you are born into depends on your family.

Cows

Kabaddi is an indigenous sport that is played in competitions but they also like to play cricket, chess, snooker, badminton, hokey and many other sports.

cows are a treasured animal in India. when some people get their chance to bath in the Ganges they take that time to honour cows by smearing them selves in: cow milk, cow cheese, cow pee and cow poo.

Indian Weddings

Introduction

India is a place of amazing beauty and culture. With it's sacred architecture and yummy food. these are just some of the amazing things in India to see and do but there is much much more.

the traditional Indian wedding lasts for an average of 3 days. on the first night the bride will get a decorative tattoo on their hands and feet with ink. on the second night of the wedding the bride gets a nose ring. on the last night of the ceremony the wedding goes ahead. the bride and groom walk around the holy fire 7 times. the woman walks in front for the first 3 rounds and then the groom walks in front for the last 4.

Food

India is the 2nd most populated country in the world even though it is just bigger than south Australia. in total there are over 1.324 billion people that live there and 3 of the most popular religions were born in India: Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam but they have a few of their own: Jainism, Dharmic and Sikhism.

Most Indians are vegetarian but if they do eat meat it is very rarely. they refuse to eat beef because they consider it as a holy animal. They eat spicy food, rice, yogurt and wheat. Some of the spices they use include cinnamon, ginger and chili peppers.

The Ganges

The Ganges also know as the Ganga is a trans-boundary river that flows through the nations of India and Bangladesh. to the people of India it is a sacred meeting place where they bath is the Ganges waters but most people only get to do this once. it's total length is 2,525 KM long.
