In 1876, Doyle enrolled in the University of Edinburgh Medical School. By 1879 he was a medical assistant to Doctor Hoare In Birmingham. He later serves as a ship's surgeon. In 1881, he earned a degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery.

In 1879, Doyle wrote his first short story "The mystery of the Sasassa Valley". In 1882, he writes his first novel,"The narrative of John Smith".

In 1887, Doyle creates his most famous character, Sherlock Holmes.

His first book he wrote with Holmes was A Study in Scarlet.

Conan died on July 7th, 1930 of a heartattack .

Many people have been inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle because of his many books but is especially famous for his most famous character, Sherlock Holmes.
