RESULTS AND OBSERVATIONS

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS:

1. Can Soaper Man cleanse the body just like Silka Papaya Bar Soap?

• Silka Papaya Soap did not give any irritations to the skin and so did our recycled soap. In fact, Silka Papaya Soap is meant to heal acne and scars.

• By reusing scraps of soap to make a new bar of soap, lesser bars of soap will be sold and lesser bars of soap will be manufactured. The making of more soap packaging wouldn't have to happen. The paper or plastic material of the soap packaging is usually a harmful factor when it comes to our dying environment. With that, lesser trees will be cut down. Fresh air could be possibly restored.

Therefore, if water is added to the soap flakes solution, it will take more time for the product to harden because it will take time for the water to evaporate.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1) For soap flakes, choose a soap that creates a lot of foam like Castile or Ivory. If you want to make hand soap, try Safeguard Soap.

2) To save time, the researchers recommend you to dry your soaps under the heat of the sun.

3) The researchers recommend that you use filtered water instead of tap; or distilled for the water.

• The product soap can cleanse the body just like Silka Papaya Bar Soap because its soap flakes are part of the soap itself so it gets all the vitamins and essentials.

The experimenters placed the soap in forming containers to give it shape.

The soap solution lost its bubbly look. It remained its soft texture.It also slightly hardened and firmed up.

The soap did not shape or adapt to the forming containers yet due to its liquid-y form.

The experimenters took the soap out of the forming containers. It was able to shape but it did not harden completely though.

It remained its circular form but it did not harden completely. Wrinkles can be spotted.

but it remained in circular shape.

The soap has finally hardened.

Most of the wrinkles disappeared.

Soap did not harden completely but it remained its circular form. Some wrinkles were able to smoothen.

ANALYSIS OF DATA

Soaper Man A

The soap solution is still bubbling.It has a soft texture.

The table shows the experimenters’ observations on the soap after mixing the soap flakes, water and the food coloring. (The making of the soap started at exactly 10:00.) It exhibits the comparison and the contrast of soaps A and B.

Data proves that soap dries and hardens faster when the amount of water mixed to it is lesser. That is why SOAPER MAN B hardened completely before SOAPER MAN A did. The results are so because with more water, the soap will take more time for the water to evaporate depending on how much soap flakes you have.
