Long and Loud

JFK

John F. Kennedy was president at the time of the Cold War. JFK wasn't very pleased with the war for he had tried to stop the war. "I saw courage both in Vietnam War and in the struggle to stop it. I learned that patriotism includes protest, not just military service." JFK is saying in this quote that he realized that he was taking the option of providing for war, but not for his country. In turn when he tried he was assassinated.

The Vietnam was no joke, there was chaos all around the area and anyone could had gotten hurt on the battlefield. The war was also long, probably longer than all of our classes combined...to the soldiers it probably felt like days. Like any war there were guns and bombs, it was not easy to survive out there. Soldier equipment was costly... and if we hadn't won the war it would be a lot of money going down the drain.
