Logical Fallacies

Bandwagon: The conspiracy theory of Krampus involves bandwagon because of the tradition/practice of Pre-Christians, Pre-Germanic, or other countries that have the same religion that support the belief of Krampus.

Overgeneralization: The conspiracy theory also can show the overgeneralization due to how the people say something about Krampus and eventually everything about krampus is true.

Either/Or: Either/or is the most relevant logical fallacy to krampus because it is either you believe Krampus is a real or you believe Krampus is fake.

What I Believe/My Conspiracy Theory:

I believe that the traditional conspiracy theory of Krampus isn't true, this is due to the facts... oh wait, there aren't any true facts proven about Krampus. Due to this and the appearance of Krampus, he looks so unrealistic its hard to believe. I have to go along with the other conspiracy theories, Krampus may be from greek mythology and something the social class made up, but he is definitely not something that is real.

Other Conspiracy Theories:

Most other conspiracy theories that are about Krampus involve details about how Krampus is fake or not real. After WWII Europe found Krampus to be despicable and something that would be ridiculous to believe in, they considered Krampus to be a creation of the social class, they also started blaming the churches, political parties, and governments (Germany and Austrian mostly). Other theories say that Krampus was part of old greek mythology. But mostly people don't believe in Krampus for the same reason people don't believe in Bigfoot or the Yeti, because there hasn't been enough proof, stories, and myths. People have a hard time thinking something so awful exists (it's appearance is especially hard to believe).

Traditional Conspiracy Theory:

The traditional Conspiracy Theory for Krampus starts in the 11th century where the Church of Pre-Christians and Pre-Germanic religion would practice the belief of Krampus. They believed everything about Krampus was real, as time went on the people grew into a less Pre-Christians tradition which involved Krampus and Santa working together to reword, or punish the children. Most countries had governments that would encourage people not to practice the belief of Krampus thinking he is a demon or the devil.

Facts about Krampus

  • Came to Earth around the 11th century.
  • A belief by Pre-Christians and Pre-Germanic religions.
  • He's the Christmas demon, the tradition is called Krampusnacht.
  • He punishes naughty children on December 24.
  • Occurs in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and the Czeck Republic.
  • Wears cowbells, a sack on his back, and beats the children with birch sticks.
  • Practiced by Austrian churches. (Austrian government discouraged the tradition)
  • He carries chains to symbolize the binding of the devil by the Christian church.

About Krampus:

Krampus is a Christmas Demon, he/she is a belief from Germany, Austria, and some other countries in Europe. In the 11th century Krampus came to the Earth and on every Christmas he would find and punish all naughty kids. Of course over time the stories changed. In the 11th century he would dress festive and search the villages, but as time went on, (now in the modern day) Krampus is considered a monster who sided with the famous Santa to help him out with all of the bad kids. He wears cowbells on his legs and carries a bag or basket to stuff the kids in, he beats them with birch sticks and has been known to take the bad children away to eat them.

Introduction:

Imagine, it's Christmas morning and you run down stairs and without hesitation you start ripping open presents. The door swings open and you slowly turn around, somewhat nervously. A monster stares at you with horns curving out of his head, fangs hang out of its mouth, fur everywhere, and to top it off he has a bloody birch stick in his hand, and a basket on his back. He shoves you in the basket, beating you with the stick. Later, he will take you away to the underworld or the mountains so he can enjoy munching on your bones. A bunch of horse-crap right? What if this Krampus isn't real? Some believe that Krampus is just as real as Christ where others believe it would be a nice story to tell at a camp fire. Today I will be telling you the facts that surround Krampus, support both theories telling whether Krampus is and is not real, stating my personal opinion on the conspiracy theory, and stating the logical fallacies of Krampus. But in the end you will see that Krampus is just another story to be told.
