A typical Day

- lower class housewives were expected to do household chores such as washing items like clothes and utensils, and preparing food

- cleaning the house in general was difficult due to the floors of most lower class homes being dirt

- clothes were usually taken to a near by body of water to be washed due to the lack of irrigation

- dishes and utensils were wooden, making them hard to clean

- preparing food was usually not a problem for the primary dish for lower class families at the time was simply pottage with oats, vegeatbles and sometimes meat

-Women would be in charge of poultry and dairy

-Women would spin wool and flax into thread to make cloth

- Lower-Class family would grow their own food and all of their household items.

Women would cook and clean in their household

normal class dress

- for most women, being an apprentice was the only way for them to get an education
