Kreplach is consumed when a "beating" takes place. They are triangular pouches of dough filled with chopped meat.
A common dish enjoyed during Purimp is a small dessert cookie called hamantaschen (Yiddish for Hamans pockets). The triangular shape is said to evoke Hamans 3 pointed hat or triangular ears.They are traditionally filled with poppy seeds, jam, fruit or cheese.
And a common side
dish, beans.
This is special bread is called Challah
It is specially braided to remind everyone of how Haman was hanged by a rope.
Differences of Purim
There really isn't any different ways of celebrating this holiday but Purim is one of the most celebrated holidays of Jewish people. It's basically like Thanksgiving for Jewish people. Its celebrated by saying the three blessings. After they say the blessings they then read the scroll of Ester, during this everyone shouts "Boo!" After all of this is done they give gifts to other and give charity to the poor which is called Tzedakah. Then they have their festive purim meal.
