I thought it was a good book. I really like the details and the storyline. But the book had some cursing. If the book didn't have so much cursing, I think it would've been better.

A boy named Wahoo Cray and his father, Mickey Cray are professional animal wranglers. When Mickey is offered a job for Derek Badger's (Lee Bluepenny) TV show called Expedition Survival. Wahoo was also allowed to be part of Expedition Survival crew. As they worked with Derek Badger and his production assistant , Raven Stark , crazy events happen in the Everglades. When Wahoo and Mickey bumps into his friend Tuna Gordon, he notices a black eye. Jared Gordon ( Tuna's Dad) had abused her many times, she ran away with Wahoo and Mickey. When the Expedition Survival crew, including Mickey, Wahoo, Tuna go into the Everglades they shoot various scenes. Then one day, Derek disappears into the Everglades thinking that he's a vampire because he got bit by a bat. Then Wahoo and Tuna find him.

I think I would give the book 4 stars. So far I think that Carl Hiaasen is a great children's writer. His stories are written with humor, mystery, and a great mix of comedy and suspense. Compared to his other books, such as Hoot, Flush, Scat, I thought this was the best book.

• Wahoo and Tuna make up names because they don't like their names. Wahoo's fake name is Lance and Tuna's fake name is Luccile.
• Wahoo lost his thumb from feeding his alligator.
• Jared Gordon was arrested
• Alice the Alligator attacked Derek Badger but he survived
• The Cray family is broke :(

12- Wahoo and Tuna find a script laying on the ground; when Wahoo reads that Derek Badger has to choke the python

13- Wahoo has a dream about Tuna being abused by her father

14- Wahoo calls his mother like Raven calls her mother

15- Derek gets bit by bat

16- the crew figured that Derek Badger had to be taken away for special treatment

17-Derek disappears and thinks that he's a vampire

18-The crew had been searching for Derek

19-Tuna and some others went out and shopped at the docks for some food,then Tuna hears a familiar voice in the shop and realizes it's her dad, Jared Gordon.

20- Derek was looking forward to becoming a vampire but he missed being in a jacuzzi

21- The tree that Derek took shelter in got struck by lightning

22- Raven sends in Sergeant Ramirez to find Derek

23- Mickey is playing tricks on Jared so he could waste 3 remaining bullets

24-Seargent Ramirez sends 4 airboats into action to find Derek

25-Wahoo overhears that Jared is escaping with Tuna

26- They get Derek back then go home
