Relationship

Lago can't turst Othello

Othello

Iago is Othello's ensign, which is essentially his third in command. This means that they have a decently close military relationship. However, the personal relationship between Othello and Iago is much more complex.

Lago has a very few redeeming qualities he has the ability to charm and convince people of his loyalty and honesty

If Othello can be capable of such gross violation of all military rules and practices, lago sees that he can no longer trust Othello, and that all confidence between them has virtually ceased to exist, and no longer can he hope for the intimate relationships of former days to continue.

The play’s protagonist and hero. A Christian Moor and general of the armies of Venice, Othello is an eloquent and physically powerful figure, respected by all those around him.
