Sin=Opposite/Hypotunes

Example:

Sin= O/H = 3/5

Cosine

Cos= Adjacent/Hypotenuse

Hypotenuse Leg

Example:

Cos= A/H= 4/5

Theta

The longest side of a triangle.

Also known as the C in the Pythagorean Theorem.

A symbol to represent the missing angle of a triangle.

Tangent

Pythagorean Theorem

Tan= Opposite/Adjacent

Example:

Tan= O/A= 4/3

A squared+B squared=C squared

This is very helpful when you need to find the missing side.

C always has to be the hypotenuse.

Adjacent Leg

The side always next to the missing angle

Opposite Leg

The side that is opposite or across from the missing angle.

The name for the sides of a triangle.
