Lenin's Brother, Alexander didn't plead innocence or beg for mercy, which could have possibly reduced his sentence from death to exile. He was convicted and hanged on March 20, 1887.After the arrest and execution of Lenin's brother, Alexander Lenin had devoted his life to discovering all he could about his executed Brother's political convictions. He enrolled as a student at the Kazan University, he was later expelled for Anti-Tsarist activity and being in student protests in December of 1887. Over the next five years, while his Mother lived in Kokushkino, Lenin worked toward a career as a lawyer, eventually receiving a degree as an "external Student" from Saint Peters burg in November 1881.
As Vladimir Lenin grew older his talent and devotion to his studies seemed to point him in the direction of a University education. Unfortunately, two events changed his life drastically. The first was the death of his Father, he died of a heart attack in 1886. The second was when Lenin's brother, Alexander was arrested in Saint Peters burg and was accused of trying to assassinate Alexander the third with a bomb in a medical encyclopedia.

Lenin now declared himself a Marxist. He graduated High School at the top at the class with high Marx and was the first to graduate. Lenin started to focus on Revolutionary politics then left to live in Saint Peters burg.
When he came to Saint Petersurg he conversed with like minded Marxists and began taking an active role in Marxist activities. Later in 1895 Lenin and other Marxists were arrested and sent to Siberia for three years. After being released from Siberia in 1900, he moved to Europe. Jumping from country to country frequently. He then published an article in Iskra, a newspaper of Russian Marxism. Lenin had developed a Marxist movement in Russia in the end of the nineteenth
