Required Steps to create an effective character:
On a computer, research the steps required to create a character. In your sketchbook, create a checklist of 7-10 components/characteristics/tips.
REMEMBER: Exaggeration and Appeal are very important!
Shape, color, features, etc.

1. Brainstorm ideas for your character.
2. Jot down characteristics that your character will have. Make sure you are including the items that you researched (physical characteristics, etc).
3. Sketch at least three different character sketches.
4. Get FEEDBACK from a peer. Which one should you choose for your final character design? What is going well? How can you improve?
5. Design your final character.

Identify your all-time 5 favorite “game” or "cartoon" characters (design or popularity).
Provide their names, dates, game (or movie/cartoon), and sketches of the characters.
