• The superstore arrives to small cities and put local business out in short time
• Consumers benefit because they can do all of their shopping at one place
• Entire communities lose their identity to mega corporations

• Adds of COCA COLA are known because of their catchy music, a profound message and their long duration
• SANTA CLAUS --> shows other cultures the importance of that date to the US

• Does not only refers to McDonald's but to all American corporations overseas

What does westernization mean?

• Societies adopt western cultures in areas such as industry, technology, politics, economics and others
• Is westernization a synonym of modernization?
• Westernization is closely related to enculturation and acculturation
• Some people think that westernization tries to remake other cultures within their own image
