Static/Dynamic

Scout Finch

Impact

This character made people feel the innocence of their children and brings memories of things they did when they were young. They know how it is to grow up and come to realization when you grow older. She understood that it wasn't right for black people to be treated the way they were. She didn't treat Boo differently anymore.

Tone/Mood

The tone she had in the book was innocence and naive. She was just growing up and getting to know the world around her. The mood made people realize how we look at things before we grow up and start understanding our surroundings. She made people think about how they used to look at the world before they got a more grown up perspective.

Plot

Character Represents

The plot she had was growing up and knowing how everything works. She shows people that when your young, you start to believe the things around you. She has to go through the hate the town gives her because of what her father believes in and what he represents.

Scout represents the theme, growing up. The whole book is how she is learning how the world works. She is learning from the situations her and her family are going through.

Applies to Real Life

It applies to real life, because you shouldn't judge someone until you walk a mile in their shoes. When you get older, you start to understand more about life then when you were younger.

Themes

Characters

She always tried to hang out with Jem. She was at that tomboy age. She always went to her dad with questions. She also went to Miss Maudie to ask question about Atticus. Most of the time, she didn't understand why he made the decisions he did.

Scout represents the themes growing up, small town southern life, and courage. Scout was just growing up in the book and she didn't know very much. She was very naive and didn't understand a lot of things in the town she grew up in. She would always question the actions of her father or Ms. Maudie. She grew up in a small southern town, where everyone knew everyone's business. Scout had a lot of courage walking Boo Radley home in the end of the book. She also stayed in the court room for the trial of Tom Robinson. She shows great courage for a young girl.
