Tragic Hero : Romeo

Suffers More Than Deserved

Born of Noble Birth

Fate is Controlled by Flaw

Romeo was born as a Montague. The Montague family was one of the richest families in Verona. Their biggest enemy was the Capulet family.

Romeo loses his best friend, Mercutio, as a consequence of going to the party and marrying Juliet.

Romeo's interest in Rosaline was what lead him to the Juliet's birthday party. His internal flaw is what lead him to his fate.

Physically or Spiritually Wounded by Experience.

Bears No Responsibility For Flaw, Only For Actions Influenced By Flaw

Possesses a Fatal Flaw

Romeo isn't responsible for his desire for love. So when he didn't receive the letter telling him that Juliet had faked her death he overreacted. Romeo came back to Verona to see his "lover" one last time but was stopped by Count Paris. This encounter led to the death of Paris.

Romeo was spiritually wounded by the death of his friend Mercutio. This action lead to Romeo murdering Tybalt which lead to his banishment.

Romeo's fatal flaw is lust. He falls in love too quickly and doesn't take the time out to get to know the person he claims he "loves".

Imperfect or "human" despite noble nature.

Romeo was looked up by all the people but little did they know he was a murderer. He slayed Tybalt and Count Paris.

Downfall Arouses Pity of Fear

Romeo and Juliet commit suicide, which end their parents feud.
