Dali was a

Surrealist painter.

He wanted his art to illuminate and teach people to think about things differently.

Surrealism-

Art that is

"Super real"

or beyond reality.

What do you see?

-ants

-fly

-shape on the beach

-steps

-olive branch (symbol of hope and peace)

-sand and watches (symbols of passing time)

Salvador Dali's art was inspired by his thoughts and dreams. He was also interested in modern science.

All of the watches are stopped at different times to create a sense of timelessness.

Born at 8:45 AM

Salvador Dali was inspired by Pablo Picasso, a fellow artist from Spain.

Other inspirational artists, such as René Magritte and Max Ernst painted art that may be seen as "nonsensical," (doesn't have to make sense) or art that is from one's subconscious.
