3. Step up! When you see something wrong, call it out. Question it.
4. Vote! Not only during the Primary vote, but on your local level. If people are running for office, do your homework on them. Check to see if they make racial justice a priority or where they stand on important issues pertaining to people of color.
5. When you see something, say something. Offer help if it is safe to do so. If a person of color is being stopped by the police or harassed in a store, sometimes just the presence of a white person can help.
VIDEO DISCUSSION
WAS HE DOING SOMETHING NORMAL KIDS HIS AGE DON'T DO?
HOW DID YOU DO?
When having conversations about race, don't take it personal. If you feel offended or defensive, take a moment and ask yourself why you might be feeling this way. Do you feel attacked or guilty about something? Try to figure it out because if you don't, you could miss the message or lesson being offered to you.
