A Pittance of Time Analysis

Poppies are a plant, and they are growing around the crosses on each row. The soldiers are buried and dead. In the sky is referring to heaven as they have moved on to the after life. |But the dead are not at rest since they can hear the war from below.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead, Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders Fields

Take up quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing and we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high

If ye break faith with us who die,

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields

take two minutes, would you mind? it's a pittance of time for the boys and girls who went over

In peace may they rest, may we never forget why they died. It's a pittance of time

two minutes refers to how a time of silence is for veterans. the boys and girls are our men and women who left and never came home

this line is referring soldiers who fought for our lands.

this line is referring to the video when the girl is only following his father

they fought and some died for their homeland they fought

look at his child' there's no fear in her eyes could he not show respect for the other dads who have died

poetic devices used

It takes courage to fight in your own war

It takes courage to fight someone else’s war

Our peacekeepers tell of their own living hell

They bring hope to foreign lands that the hatemongers can’t kill.

it takes courage and love to risk your life for your own country and other countries. Their stories of war are their times through hell, yet the hope they bring with them to war is something that oppressors can't defeat.

in peace may they rest, lest we forget why they died.Take a pittance of time May we not forget those who died, but may we take a moment, a pittance, of time
