Their are man statistics that create many stereotypes for Latino immigrants today. For example, in 2011, foreign born Hispanics had the highest drop-out rate and 30% of Hispanics in the US lack health coverage. Some may say that this is discrimination against Latino immigrants because they lack the things that Native born people get right away.
When Irish immigrants got to the US, many things looked different and strange to them. Some of the immigrants didn't speak English. When they got to the Us they thought it would be important to learn English. Some immigrants even changed their religion and they started to eat food that were common in the US

Latino immigrants contribute to US culture in many ways and they have changed the way they do things so they can feel like they truly belong in the US. 49% of Hispanics living in the US speak fluent English. They eat many of the foods that are dominate in the US. People living in the US however eat Mexican food a lot.
Although the times have changed, immigration has been the same since the 1800's.
Irish immigrants during the 1800's took the jobs on the bottom of the hierarchy and the jobs that payed the least. Other workers avoided them when they would work together. People thought they owned these immigrants and would boss them around when working.

-US economic development (more developed economic system)
-US refugee policy
-Getting away from violence (gould be harmed)
Push Factors
-Lack of economic opportunities
-Political and public violence (gangs militias)
-Poor living conditions (homes weren't really homes)
