What is Better, Organic or Inorganic Farming?

Farming Fun Facts!!!

(This is my actual question.)

1. Bananas are the number one fruit crop in the world.

2. Farmers sometimes plant trees around the crops

to act as a wind break. It helps prevent erosion.

3. About 2.2 million farms are in the United States.

4. Through pollination, bees contribute 15 billion dollars in crops.

5. In World War 2 "buy the farm" was a slang term meaning to be killed or die.

From my research I have come to the conclusion that inorganic farming is better in some aspects and organic farming is better in others. In the end it is all about your opinion. If you are obsessed with mother nature, then you might think organic farming is better because no chemicals are used. If you are all about the price and amount of the product, you will probably like inorganic farming better because it normally produces bigger amounts. My personal opinion is that they are both ways to farm and we should use both techniques.

What are some Consequences of Organic Farming?

Does the Soil React with Fertilizers?

Yes, because when the fertilizers are mixed with the soil, the soil becomes enriched with more nutrients. This causes the soil to be able to produce many different kinds of crops.

Some consequences of organic farming are, the crops are very vulnerable to disease and bugs. Not only that but also without the fertilizer the soil might have all it's nutrients sucked dry. You can create your own compost, but that takes time.

Does Inorganic Farming Harm the Crops?

No, when you put the fertilizer and chemicals on the crop, it protects it. Therefore, bugs can't ruin the whole harvest, and disease can't spread around the crops. I would say inorganic farming actually helps the crops.

Which Farming Method is better for the Environment?

Although some may disagree, I believe that organic farming is better for the environment. This is because you don't use the chemicals to protect the crops from bugs and diseases that inorganic farming does. Some of these chemicals have the potential to pollute the environment.

Organic and Inorganic Farming

How Does Inorganic Farming Help the Soil?

Inorganic farming helps the soil by putting nutrients in the soil. Organic farming is not able to revitalize the soil the same way.

Why are People Against Inorganic Farming?

What is Organic Farming?

Although some people believe that the enhancers the farmers put on the crops ruin the food, it is untrue. It actually makes the food bigger. You are actually getting more for your money.

Organic farming is a specific type of farming where no chemicals are added to the soil unless they are all natural. The farmers must grow their crops naturally.

What is Inorganic Farming?

Inorganic farming is a technique that certain farmers use to grow crops bigger and faster. These farmers are allowed to use chemicals and fertilizers.
