- Sia HATES fame.
- "I don’t want to be famous, or recognizable,” she said, “I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet. I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars now for a couple of years and I’ve become friends with them and see what their life is like and that’s not something I want.”
- It took her a while to figure out her role in the music industry was probably songwriting.
- She covers her face as much as possible and often turns down interviews.
- Sia battled depression and drug/alcohol abuse.
- She rebuilt herself through her music and songwriting.
- Phil Colson, her father, was a musician as well.
- She was also the niece of a singer.
- She joined a local jazz band called Crisp, and released 2 albums with the band.

The Beginning of Her Songwriting
- Sia started her career as a songwriter when she started her singing career.
- However, many people did not realize she wrote her own songs.
- As mentioned before, her singing career was not too successful, and she retired because of her love for songwriting.
