Ecological Balance

The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.”

― Rachel Carson

“Human use, population, and technology have reached that certain stage where mother Earth no longer accepts our presence with silence.”

― Dalai Lama XIV

So lets join hands and make this world a better place!

“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people. ”

― Franklin D. Roosevelt

Natural Calamities

A- natural- disaster- is the effect of a natural hazard that affects the environment, and leads

to financial, environmental and human losses.

The resulting loss depends on the capacity of

the population to support or resist the

disaster, and their resilience.

Harmful Effects on the

Balance of Life in Ecosystems

Each of us should know even in small ways how to do the right thing in helping the nature clean as possible.

How to Preserve

Ecological Balance

Ecology is the science of the study of ecosystems. Ecological balance has been defined by various online dictionaries as "a state of dynamic equilibrium within a community of organisms in which genetic, species and ecosystem diversity remain relatively stable, subject to gradual changes through natural succession." and "A stable balance in the numbers of each species in an ecosystem."

These are :

Importance of ecological balance

Conserving

Wildlife

Destructive practices of people

Human activities produce much

waste which pollutes the environment.

Ecological balance is very important for continued existence and survival of organisms and stability of environment. It is also important for adaptation of organisms to the environment and vice versa.

Our country is rich in wild plants and animals, but many of these are now endangered. Laws and regulations must be followed in order to protect them.

Pollution of Air

Pollution of Land

Air pollution is the introduction in the atmosphere of chemicals, particulates, or biological materials that cause discomfort , disease, or death to humans, damage other living organisms such as food crops, or damage the natural environment or built environment.

Land pollution is the degradation of

Earth's land surfaces often caused

by human activities and their

misuse of land resources. It

occurs when waste is not disposed

properly.

Pollution of Water

Water pollution is the contamination

of water bodies. Water pollution occurs

when pollutants are discharged

directly or indirectly to water bodies

without adequate treatment to remove

harmful compounds.
