Kleptomania was discovered by a man named Sigman Freud. Sigman also created the psychoanalytic theory. He also believed that these kleptomaniac behaviors were associated to being an uncivilized savage.
Kleptomania is the inability to refrain from the urge to steal items and is done for reasons other than personal use or financial gain.
Some cures/solutions include a drug specially made for stopping the urge to steal or to suppress it temporarily, or to be treated with cognitive or behavioral therapy.
The top five most common ways to tell if you have kleptomania are :
1. An excessive urge to steal even if the items being stolen are irrelevant to the Kleptomaniac.
2. A feeling of relief, fear or anxiety after stealing an item.
3.lack of malice.
4.compulsive stealing.
5.lack of conduct disorder or manic episodes.
