This presentation will describe the structure and function of the Florida state
government
Similar to the federal government, the Florida state government is made up of 3 branches of government:
1. The Executive Branch
2. The Legislative Branch
3. The Judicial Branch

The Judicial Branch interprets the laws
The Florida Legislature makes the laws
The Executive Branch enforces the laws
- 7 Supreme Court Justices
- 5 Appeals Courts
- 20 Circuit Courts
- 67 County Courts
The Florida legislature is made up of two houses.
