How do I make a mandala?
We will be using radial symmetry and concentric circles to create our mandalas.
Radial Symmetry- a type of balance in which the parts of an object or picture are regularly arranged and radiate from a central point.
Concentric Circles
You can use any shape or symbol as long as it is school appropriate.
Concentric circles- Circles that all have the same center.
They fit inside each other and are the same distance.
The mandala is one of humankind's most ancient art forms.
It reflects eternity and all of nature like the sun and the moon.
Mandalas may be found in all religions.

Step 1. Practice on smaller paper. Decide what shapes or symbols you want to use.
Step 2. Draw a mandala on 12x12 paper.
Step 3. Cover all pencil lines with glue.
