- Funds regional transportation projects for the next 10 years

- Tuesday July 31, 2012, so go mark your calendars and vote!
Where Does The Money Go?
Who Implements It?
- Funds collected in each STAY in that region
- Mostly by the Georgia DOT along with local governments
- No sharing of funds between regions
- 75%(Except ARC) of funds go to regional projects
- Transit projects implemented by Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) in Atlanta with local transit sponsors
- 25% goes to local government projects
What If It Is Voted Down?
- For each region:
- No Receiving of additional funds to pay for proposed projects
- Does not affect other regions directly
- If this referendum is turned down, no new plans can not be introduced for another 2 years
If Voted Yes?
- Projects for each region where voted will receive funds for regional and local projects
- For every $1 billion spent on bridges and roads, 28,000 jobs are created and up to $2.5 billion generated in indirect economic activity
