The Great Gatsby Song Lyrics

Chapter 9

Tom And Daisy Leave

Sam Ramsey and Karsyn Brower

"Somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul

To a woman so heartless

How could you be so heartless?

Oh, how could you be so heartless? How could you be so cold as the winter wind when it breeze yo..." Kanye West

In this scene Daisy doesn't really care what happen to Gatsby and she played him in the end. She gave everything up and didn't even go to his funeral.

“I called up Daisy half an hour after we found him, called her instinctively and without hesitation. But she and Tom had gone away early that afternoon, and taken baggage with them.” (Fitzgerald pg. 172)

Chapter 2

Apartment Party Scene

Chapter 5

Tea Party with Daisy- Awkward Meeting

"People telling me to slow my roll, I'm screaming out f that, Imma do just what I want, no turnin back. If I fall, If I die, know I lived it to the fullest." Kid Cudi

Chapter 5

Closet Scene with Daisy

I'm a be everywhere that he's not

I got everything and more than he's got, It could be me, give me a shot MKTO

"Lovin feelin, look at you,in love with a hitta. But its all eyes on me, and it all lies on me, to say something to your pretty self." Meek Mill

This relates to this scene because this

was the second times he got drunk in

his life. After this he realizes that he loves New York and in this scene he realizes just that.

“Suddenly, with a strained sound, Daisy bent her head into the shirts and began to cry stormily.”

(Fitzgerald pg. 98)

Now that Gatsby is rich he feels like he could take care of Daisy. He wants to have Daisy to himself and he wants her to tell Tom that she never loved him. He told her that he could make a better life for her now.

When Gatsby gets at Nicks

house Gatsby and Daisy are speechless. All Gatsby has to do is say something to Daisy. He has been waiting for this moment for a long time and right now he is doing nothing about it.

"We..... We've met before" (Luhrmann)

"I have been drunk just twice in my life, and

the second time was that afternoon; so everything that happened has a dim, hazy cast over it, although until after eight o'clock the apartment was full of cheerful sun." (Fitzgerald pg. 33)

Chapter 3

Gatsbys Rumors At His Party

Theme Song for The Great Gatsby

Demons- Image dragon

"I'll be up, up, and away, Up, up, and away, Cause they gonna judge me anyway, so whatever" Up Up and Away by Kid Cudi

"He's first cousin to the Kaser and second cousin to the devil"

"He killed

a man once"

For the theme song for the Great Gatsby

we chose Demons by Imagine Dragons

this song shows how Jay went through so much trouble to get Daisy back into his life and it turns out in the end he was betrayed by Daisy.

Gatsby doesn't care what other people think about him. When people talk about him rumors start to spread and he gets more popularity.

"When the days are cold and the cards all fold, and the saints we see are all made of gold. When your dreams all fail, and the ones we hail are the worst of all and the blood's run stale. I wanna hide the truth. I wanna shelter you, but with the beast inside, there's nowhere we can hide. No matter what we breed; we still are made of greed. This is my kingdom come. This is my kingdom come.

When you feel my heat, look into my eyes. It's where my demons hide. It's where my demons hide. Don't get too close, it's dark inside. It's where my demons hide. It's where my demons hide.

At the curtains call, it's the last of all. When the lights fade out all the sinners crawl. So they dug your grave and the masquerade. Will come calling out at the mess you've made. Don't wanna let you down, but I am, hell bound. Though this is all for you. Don't wanna hide the truth. No matter what we breed, we still are made of greed. This is my kingdom come. This is my kingdom come ."

"He's certainly

richer than God"

(Luhrmann)
